Historic Marilyn Completion
On Monday 13th October, Rob Woodall climbed to the summit of Stac Lee, one of the St. Kilda sea stacs, to become the first person to climb all 1,556 Marilyns – a list of British hills with 150m drop on all sides. The spectacular rock, situated in the remotest part of Scotland and surrounded by potentially hostile seas, is rarely climbed, but conditions were favourable for Rob and his party and he successfully made the tricky ascent to the top and into the history books. An hour later, Eddie Dealtry also reached the summit of the stac and he became the second person to complete the Marilyn list. For much more on this, read Dave's blog here.
